At first, aMEI was supposed to star in the MV but at the last minute, the creative team and her decided to hire an actress to replace her. Reason : they wanted the viewer not to be emotionally involved because of aMEI . They wanted to keep a neutral tone to the video, so the viewer can focus on the story and not on aMEI . aMEI just watched the video twice, on a iPhone, and she was getting too emotional so she couldn't watch it in its entirety. Later, at home, she watched it and burst into tears. JJ Lin composed the song along with aMEI .
